Itinerary

Day 1 - Lisbon: Feel the city

 

Arrival in Lisbon and private transfer to hotel.

Tonight you will have a traditional welcome Fado Show and Dinner (included) where you will have the chance to try some of the most wellknown dishes from Portuguese Cuisine together with the best Fado Traditional Show.

Accommodation in a 4* Hotel in Lisbon with breakfast for 4 nights.

 

 

 

Day 2 - Essence of Lisbon

 

After breakfast, pick up at your hotel to a Half Day City Tour, with our certificated Guide that will show you Lisbon, capital of Portugal. The tour will start in the main hill of Lisbon, where you will find the St. George Castle with its surrounding quarter and Alfama, Lisbon's oldest quarter. We will visit also the traditional commerce zones of the city, with their 18th-century buildings: the Downtown and the Chiado. Our tour includes all the best that Lisbon has to show.  

Free afternoon to relax or personal activities.

 

 

 

Day 3 - Sintra Fairytale City & Cascais

 

 

After breakfast pick up at your hotel and Full Day Tour to Sinta and Cascais.

Sintra is 30 km from Lisbon offers a foretaste of Paradise. The soft climate ensures a freshness permanent existence of a luxuriant vegetation make Sintra a deeply romantic and mysterious place. Stand out from the Town Palace, the Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. Free Time to lunch.

Cascais - fishing village since the twelfth century and is well preserved until today.

Return to Lisbon along the coast, passing by Estoril admiring the beautiful coast and it’s beaches.

 

 

Day 4 - Évora, a Cultural and wine experience 

 

 

After breakfast pick up at your hotel and Full Day Tour to Évora with wine tasting.

Classified as a World Heritage by UNESCO since 1986, Évora is called the "White City" and also “City Museum”. Évora dazzles his visitors with lush architectural and artistic, monumental churches, historic squares, white houses and narrow medieval streets. Évora invites you to discover a city that is synonymous of mix of cultures. Free time to lunch. In the afternoon, visit of a production farm of Wines to its facilities and manufacturing process with wine tasting.

Return to Lisbon, passing by Arraiolos to se the beautiful castle and the traditional handmade Arraiolos carpets.

 

 

 

Day 5 - Discover Porto

 

 

Fast train and Private transfer to your hotel in Porto and check-in.  Free time to relax and get embedded in the Porto ambiance.

Tonight you will have a traditional welcome dinner (included) where you will have the chance to try some of the most well known dishes from Porto  and north cuisine.

Accommodation in Porto 4* for 2 nights with breakfast.

 

 

Day 6 -  The Essence of Porto

 

In the morning, after breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel for half-day visit of the city of Porto with an official Tour Guide. 

In the historical city center, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, you will have more than enough time to explore Lello Library, where Harry Potter books and movies where inspired.  The Gold Church of São Francisco and right next door you'll find the Stock Exchange Palace with incredible granite work and magnificent Neo-Arab influences (entrance not included).  

We will continue our tour until we reach the front of the river where you can admire the D. Luis bridge and all of the Port Wine lodges that brought fame and fortune to the city. 

We will finish this tour with a visit to Port Wine Cellars with wine tasting. 

Transfer back to your hotel and free time.

Day 7 - Douro Valley wonders: Scenic Train to Douro and day tour in Douro Valley

 

 

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Porto São Bento Station where you go onboard of  a scenic train jouney from Porto until Pinhão. (Alternatively pickup at your hotel).

A guide will pick you up in Pinhão Train station and show you the best views of Douro Valley, followed by a traditional lunch in one of the famous wineries in Douro Valley. 

After lunch visit to the vineyards and wine tasting. 

Finish  the afternoon in beauty with a boat trip along Douro river, enjoy the breathless views. Transfer to your 4* hotel in Douro where you will stay for 2 nights with breakfast.

 

 

Day 8 - Douro Valley - Relaxation, nature, food and wine 

 

After breakfast free time to relax or for some personal activities. 

At lunch time we will pick you up and take you to one of the best experiences in Douro, a Pic-nic in the middle of the vineyards followed by a wine tasting in one of the amazing wineries of Douro.

Transfer back to hotel.

Day 9 - Feel Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal

 

Transfer from Douro to your hotel in Guimarães. 

 

Arrival to the hotel, with check-in after 15h.  A beautiful 4 star Hotel is centrally located for your comfort and has breakfast included. 

 

Guimarães historic town centre is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, in recognition for being an "exceptionally well-preserved and authentic example of the evolution of a medieval settlement into a modern town" in Europe. Once the capital of the County of Portugal. 

Gourmand Dinner in a traditional restaurant is included.

 

 

Day 10 - Loving Minho and Vinho Verde

 

 

At 11:00 your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel to start the journey through the best of what food and wine Portugal has to offer. A quick drive to one of the historical Quintas where Vino Verde is produced - a delicious sparkling white wine exclusive of this area in Europe. Wine tasting is included.  Return to Guimaraes with stop on the top views of the city, Penha hill for the best overview of the city and surroundings. 

Lunch Time in one of the best gourmand restaurants of the city. 

After lunch visit to the castle and Palace of Duques de Braganca are included and you'll get to know  more of the history of Guimaraes.  

Your local guide will take you on to the main square for you to relax for the rest of day.

Day 11 - Last day and you won't want to say goodbye

 

After breakfast free time for personal activities. Check-out and transfer to Porto Airport or Porto according to your needs.

Optional train to Lisbon, with accommodation in Lisbon and airport transfer.
